Internal Medicine Associates was started in 1976 to provide care for the residents of Cumberland County and the surrounding Tri-county areas. Thanks to our supportive patients, we have grown our practice into one of the most successful and busiest internal medicine practices in the area. We strive to provide our patients with seamless physical, emotional, and supportive health care.

Information For New Patients
Consensus Health Primary Care Internal Medicine Associates welcomes new patients to our practice. We are internal medicine physicians and are happy to schedule an appointment with anyone 16 years of age and older. We participate with many insurance plans, so please check your directory to assure that we are in-network if your plan so requires.
Your initial office visit with our practice will include a comprehensive examination by one of our physicians. We ask that you bring in any bottles of medicines that you are currently taking to document them in your chart. We are completely electronic and will enter any information into your chart electronically.
Our practice has a secure patient portal which we welcome our patients to utilize. You can view certain medical information about yourself and can download and print them for your paper records. You can also communicate with us through the portal. Whether you need a medicine refilled or ask a non-urgent question, request to schedule a non-urgent appointment, or pay your bill securely, our portal is very user-friendly.
A Bridgeton High School graduate, class of 1973, returned to his hometown area to practice medicine and support his community in 1989. He perfected his skills as a Board Certified Internal Medicine Physician at Cooper University Hospital, completing his internship, residency and fellowship with unwavering dedication. He continues to support his local community with that same dedication. He has served as a former School Board President in Pittsgrove Township and he continues to serve as Mayor on the Township Committee. Dr. Copare is also a member of the Resident Teaching Faculty at Inspira in Vineland and also serves on the board as the President of Medical Staff. Dr. Copare also serves as the Medical Director of Angelic Hospice. He is married to his high school sweetheart, Andrea and they have eight children and ten grandchildren (currently).
Dr. Silva attended Tufts University School of Medicine and is Board Certified in Internal Medicine. After medical school she joined the United States Public Health Service as lieutenant and subsequently became Lieutenant Commander finishing her tour of duty after 3 years. She joined our office in 1993. Dr. Silva provides quality health care to many Spanish speaking patients. Dr. Silva continues to be on staff at Inspira in Vineland as well as at Encompass Health and Rehab. Additionally, she also renders care to our geriatric population in several nursing homes.
Dr. Hanna joined our office in 2001. He is currently the Managing Partner and President of Internal Medicine Associates. He attended UMDNJ, Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital/Cooper Hospital. Dr. Hanna graduated in 1986 from Assiut Medical School in Egypt. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Cooper University Medical Center. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians. Dr. Hanna possesses broad experience in adult and geriatric medicine as well as hospital medicine. He is an expert in both men and women’s health. Dr. Hanna has privileges at Inspira in Vineland as well as many local long-term care facilities. He serves as Medical Director at multiple local long-term care and rehab facilities. He is a member of the Resident Teaching Faculty at Inspira. Dr. Hanna is also an Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine at Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine. He is the Principal Investigator of multiple clinical trials. Dr. Hanna is married, and they have four children.
Dr. Hatzantonis attended St. Georges University School of Medicine and completed his Internal Medicine Residency at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, NJ. He joined Internal Medicine Associates in July of 2002. He is board certified in Internal Medicine. Dr. Hatz has privileges at lnspira Medical Center-Vineland, Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Vineland as well as many local long term care facilities. He is a member of the Resident Teaching Faculty at lnspira. When not at work, Dr. Hatz enjoys spending time with family, sports and listening to music, including his extensive vinyl collection.
Dr. Struby graduated from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2014. He is board certified in Internal Medicine. He joined our practice in 2018 as our Hospitalist Physician at Inspira Vineland as well as working at Encompass Rehabilitation for acute rehabilitation patient care. He is a member of the core faculty for resident education at Inspira Vineland. Dr. Struby likes to spend his free time camping, hiking and spending time with his daughter.
Bertha (Micki) has been with Internal Medicine Associates since 2011. She graduated from Wilmington University in 2009 with an MSN degree. One of Micki’s greatest strengths is the passion she has for geriatric medicine. Micki spends most of her days taking care of our patients in several local area Long Term Care Facilities. Micki also sees patients in our office as well. When she is not working Micki enjoys spending time with family and friends.
Halyna graduated from Rutgers University with her Master of Science Degree as a Nurse Practitioner. She was also a student at Wilmington University where she received her Bachelors Degree in nursing. When Halyna joined our practice in 2016, she had 20 years of nursing and healthcare experience. She has a passion for studying medicine and serving her patients. She sees patients in both the hospital and rehab setting. Halyna feels strongly that educating patients in disease prevention and healthy lifestyles will improve patient outcomes. She loves reading, traveling, biking and spending time with her family.
Consensus Health Primary Care Internal Medicine Associates provides many services that complement your office visit. We have a full-time phlebotomist who can draw your blood work (if your insurance permits) right in the office. Our lab is open from 7:00 am until 3:00 pm Monday through Friday. We also provide electrocardiography, pulmonary function testing, and lesion removals. Once again, if your insurance company permits. We have on-site electrocardiography, spirometry, as well as venous and carotid dopplers. We have a full-service lab and can run certain tests here and send them out to third-party laboratories such as Quest and LabCorp. We can remove small lesions and skin tags with our Cryopen and can do arthrocentesis as well. We also provide adult immunizations, including pneumonia and flu vaccines.
